Because every love has its beginning, its rhythm, and its plot twists.
And ours — like in the best romantic comedies — begins at a wedding.

Chiara needed a ride. Luigi had a car.

It seemed like a random encounter, the kind that ends with a polite “thank you, that was very kind.”
But it wasn’t.

We crossed paths for the first time in the parking lot of Taranto’s train station, both heading to the wedding of our friends, Bea and Matteo.
A two-hour drive, a few wrong turns, a left instead of a right — the classic moves of an improvising (and slightly dyslexic) driver.
Just a few kilometers were enough to feel something inexplicable.
A sense of familiarity, as if we had known each other forever.
One of those rare encounters, where the heart understands everything before the mind does.
From that day on, we never lost sight of each other.

The summer of 2021 swept us away like a song that starts on the radio at just the right moment.
With laughter, hand-holding, endless messages, and stolen kisses under starry skies too beautiful to ignore, our love became something real, wild, and stubborn.

There was just one small detail: we came from two very different worlds.
Not metaphorically — geographically.
But as everyone knows, when love calls, even Sky Scanner (with its never-quite-cheap options) rises to the occasion.

And so, we started flying. Always. Everywhere.
More air miles than road trips, more goodbyes at airports than breakfasts at home.
But every reunion felt like coming home. And every farewell was just a “see you soon.”

Then, one day, Chiara did what only someone truly in love can do: she left everything.
Her world, her habits, her certainties… to build a new one with Luigi.

We’ve been living for two years now in a beautiful place among the woods of Luxembourg that we call home.
A place that isn’t on any map, but in the life we’ve created together.

Every day is a little adventure, every night a new page waiting to be written.
We’ve invented our own routine, our rituals, our perfect Sundays and our full but always shared Mondays.
And somehow, things keep getting better.

Valentine’s Day 2025: dinner with an ocean view in Lanzarote, sunset, wine, and paella.
Sounds like the perfect proposal, right?
Well… it wasn’t that one.

Because the proposal came a few days later.
One February morning in Taranto, Luigi woke Chiara up with a hardly convincing excuse (“let’s have breakfast with my dad”) and dragged her — through clouds, cold, wind, and dizzying cliffs — to the pine forest in Palagianello.

There, with a croissant and a sprig of rosemary, the moment arrived.
The most perfectly imperfect proposal ever.
With a ring that had traveled from far away, from a land where the light dances on the stones… Surat, India.
As if to say: for something precious, no distance is too far.
And Chiara, without a moment’s hesitation, said yes.

And now… the journey continues.
With a new destination. A new “yes.”
Our wedding.
